Esperanza En Escalante (EEE) is an non-profit organization (501 c) formed in 1989 by the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 106 of Tucson Arizona.  It is located on approximately 19 acres that is continually being evaluated, updated, and built with the needs of the Veteran always in mind.

EEE not only provides housing but social services and programs to assist the Veteran transition into everyday life. EEE works closely with the city of Tucson, the state of Arizona, The Veterans Administration and many other institutions and organizations to meet the physical and social needs of it’s residents.

To accomplish it's goals EEE receives its funding from a variety of sources:

  1. US Government: EEE has per-diem contracts with the US Department of Veterans Affairs covering some of our clients/residents. Residents also contribute up to 30% of their external income towards the equivalent of paying monthly rent.
  2. Local Government: EEE has received various Pima County and City of Tucson Community Development and Community Services Block Grants
  3. Churches/NGOs: EEE receives ongoing financial and volunteer support from the Saguaro Christian Church Outreach Program (Disciples of Christ)
  4. Private: HUNDREDS of private companies and individuals in Pima County have donated cash, materials and time to build the EEE homes and help residents in myriad ways

Through these organizations, contributions from private individuals and the diligent work of the staff of EEE, veterans are relieved of stresses and guided to the life they deserve for the sacrifices they made.
