Words cannot express the proper amount of gratitude to Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 106 who presented EEE
with a very nice donation at the Purple Heart Ball held on August 6 at the Desert Diamond Conference Center.
It was a very successful event that paid tribute to our Purple Heart Veterans and support to local organizations
that assist Veterans.

 

November 2010

In honor of Veteran's Day, youth volunteers from the Volunteer Center of Southern AZ visited EEE from
1 to 4:30 pm on Sunday November 14.  They cleaned up brush and weeds from the yards around building to
the north of the office. Unfortunately not as many volunteers turned out as expected but the four that came
worked hard.

We say THANK YOU for coming to our site and doing such a great job!

May 2010

We had two groups that worked on EEE site in May 2010. 

On May 14 a group of Americorps Vista volunteers were here doing some much needed painting in the disabled units. 

On May 15 Rebuilding Tucson Together had volunteers from Raytheon and the U of A architectural school here for the re-furbishing of house #4. 

It was a huge project.  They painted both sides of the duplex; repaired and replaced cabinets and kitchen sinks; installed laminate wood flooring; cleaned tile flooring in one bathroom and donated some furniture to the units.

A HUGE Thank You to all of you volunteers! Great job!
